After a challenging 2020, the Springbrook Nature Center Foundation is excited be sponsoring a variety of safe, impactful programs at the nature center this year. With the support of generous donors, the following programs will be taking place:
The Earth Day Eco Dash took place on April 24 and 25, with 14 teams and around 70 people enjoying a scavenger hunt at Springbrook and numerous other parks. Sponsorship dollars were used to pay for an interactive scavenger hunt phone app, as well as prizes for winning teams.
The Migration Celebration will be returning to Springbrook on May 8 at 9am, seeking to educate participants about birds, birding and the joy that can be found through the hobby of birdwatching. Sponsorship dollars will be used to bring in presenters such as the University of Minnesota Raptor Center. More details available here.
Summer camps are full for 2021, and Springbrook staff are excited to welcome campers back to the Nature Center! Each week 36 campers will join in on the fun. Thanks to SNCF donor funds, over 40 scholarships were awarded this year.
The Summer Concert Series at Springbrook provides all-ages fun, entertainment, and connection to nature. SNCF will be sponsoring three free admission community concerts on June 15, July 20, and August 17, all at 7pm. More details available here.
Friday Night by Firelight returns to the Springbrook ampitheater in September! This free series features educational and fun nature-related presentations, followed by a campfire. Sponsorship funds will underwrite presenter fees. More details coming soon.
