Go Higher! GLORIFYING GOD IN CONFLICT, 1 Corinthians 10:31
Conflict allows us an opportunity to glorify God, that is, to bring him praise and honor by imitating Him, laying down our "rights," forgiving, and loving sacrificially. This is necessary for Biblical peace-making and learning to seek and honour God when we're in conflict, lest we glorify someone or something else.
This Sunday we're jumping back into our "Peace with Others" Series using the Resolving Everyday Conflict study from Peacemaker Ministries. Join us as we continue on this discipleship journey exploring new ways to reflect the beauty of the Kingdom of God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

You, YES, YOU! Need to consider becoming a Pilgrim Partner!
Did you know, in the last three years, a significant number of new people have chosen Pilgrim as their spiritual family? However, in the same time frame, only TWO have become Covenant Partners (members). That is an amazing and alarming statistic!
If Pilgrim is your main spiritual family, it's time to take the next step and become a Covenant Partner. Your input is needed, not only informally, but officially!
START HERE TODAY!

Jesus Collective Partner Summit | Thursday, May 13 from 2-6PM ET
Our first Partner Summit is approaching next month and we continue to reflect on the theme of living as a Collective. What does it mean for all of us to be agents of God’s work in this movement?
A collective mentality pushes back against the forces of consumerism and individualism and rallies us together in pursuit of Jesus’ call for our network and movement. It means we look out for each other, encourage each other, build one another up, and do God’s work together. In a cultural moment marked by continued violence, division, fear, and confusion, it means we unite to advance the Kingdom of love – to be for Jesus’ radically alternate way of active peacemaking, reconciliation, and hope.
We’re so grateful to be a growing collective centred on Jesus, together with all of you. This is a time for us to celebrate, be equipped, and come together in community discernment to shape the future & vision for Jesus Collective.

PRAYER CHAIN Are you interested in being part of a "prayer chain"?
When we get news from our spiritual family that needs prayer, we share the need and then pray as soon as possible. If you want to be a part of this, you must agree to keep requests confidential. This is not a "gossip chain." Please call or email to sign up. contact@pilgirmchurch.ca We have a few older members who have been doing this faithfully for years but need to expand and refresh our list.

NAIITS - An Indigenous Learning Community
Did you know that the North American Baptist Seminary (AKA Kairos Project, Sioux Falls Seminary, Taylor Seminary) is a sponsor for the NAIITS!?
NAIITS an Indigenous Learning Community ( formerly the North American Institute for Indigenous Theological Studies) is one of two members of Indigenous Pathways (IP), a nonsectarian, non-profit organization dedicated to working together with the Indigenous community. NAIITS’ focus within IP is the development and articulate of Indigenous perspectives in theology and practice. We encourage Indigenous learning styles and world views in our instruction as we facilitate the development of a body of work addressing biblical, theological, and ethical issues from Indigenous perspectives. NAIITS currently has five degree program partnerships offering graduate, and post-graduate degree or award programs.
