Misha Goetz will be leading worship at Messiah Echad Friday 23 April at 07pm, then again during our 03pm Shabbat (Saturday) Service. Exciting! This comes on the heels of a 3-day worship retreat we are hosting titled Shachah (to bow down in worship); if you are a vocalist, musician, intercessor, or dancer who missed it this year, fear not. Like seriously, there is no need to cry. This is but the first of MANY events to come, where we unite Christian and Jew in worship of the Holy One of Israel. Oh, and word on the street is that there might be a second guest worship artist, for such a time as this, so prepare yourself for the Holy Spirit to do a mighty work inside of you. And since this weekend will also be the last service of the month, we will have our oneg (potluck), where we ask everyone to bring a biblically kosher dish, dessert, or drink to share.  
 
Now, forget for a moment the Gregorian calendar and ask yourself, what day is it? Granted, some folks are on different calendars and Lord only knows when you are reading this e-newsletter… there is a forever statute where God commands His people to mark 50 days from when the priest or rabbi waves the grain offering. For our community, this counting began Sunday 04 April, making today the 20th day of the counting of the omer. And with so many creative ways to work your way to Shavuot (Pentecost), there is no need to come up with an excuse on why you do not observe this biblical mandate. Finally, and it is probably because spiritual warfare is real and our ministry is doing so many amazing things, please keep each other in prayer, especially Rabbi Jonathan. Everything from emergency room visits to downed vehicles, but, NOT TODAY SATAN! You have been defeated. 
 
We have some exciting praise and worship planned, the omer days are being counted, and as always, masks optional, but common sense is required.
