Four Seasons Hotel at Comcast Center


Overview


This week we travel with SmartFlyer CEO Michael Holtz as he takes an insider look at one of the most acclaimed new hotels in North America, the Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia at Comcast Center. It not only marks the return of one of our favorite luxury brands to the City of Brotherly Love, but it also takes U.S. luxury hotels to new heights, literally and figuratively.

Soaring above Center City in the skyline’s tallest tower, Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia at Comcast Center is located atop a 60-story landmark by architect Lord Norman Foster. It includes restaurants by Michelin-starred chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten and James Beard Award-winner Greg Vernick, and a 57th-floor spa sanctuary, including an infinity pool and fitness center. 

Families love the hotel because kids love the pool, amazing views, glass elevator ride. Couples love it as a retreat and urban getaway. You can spend an entire weekend at the hotel without leaving, dining at each restaurant, relaxing at the spa, and staying above the clouds.

For business, it offers a central location within walking distance to The Art Museum, Barnes Foundation, and Franklin Institute. It’s a five-minute walk from Rittenhouse Square for dining and shopping. It’s a five-minute drive to the Liberty Bell and  Independence Hall.


2. Accommodations

There are 219 total accommodations, including 39 suites. The design is neutral in color with a focus on the architectural details, textiles, materials, and technology. Guest rooms are located on floors 48-56 with floor-to-ceiling windows in every room with completely unobstructed views of either the Philadelphia skyline or city landmarks including Ben Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia Art Museum, and Barnes Foundation. 

Presidential Suite


The 2,137 sq. ft. Presidential Suite which feels like what you’d expect a billionaire's home to feel like. The suite can connect to multiple other rooms to offer a 3-bedroom set-up for those who need more space. Located on the 56th floor, you have two corner views of Philadelphia landmarks, including Ben Franklin Parkway, the art museums, and City Hall. Features include two sitting areas, a fireplace, a formal dining room with a bar, and a butler’s pantry.


Skyline Corner Suite


The 810 sq. ft. Skyline Corner Suites (on floors 49 to 55) are a favorite, especially for guests who need just a bit more space. It has a beautiful dining table with four chairs, perfect for families to sit around the table and enjoy in-room dining. The large living area has a pullout Queen size sofa and an additional half bathroom. This suite is also great for business travelers who might want to host a meeting in their suite. Incredible corner location, fully lined with floor-to-ceiling windows for incredible views.


Landmark Corner Suite  


The 666-sq. ft. Landmark Corner Suites, also on floors 49 through 55 offer views of Philadelphia landmarks, including the Ben Franklin Parkway and renowned art museums. You’ll love the oversized bathroom with a spacious shower and window-side tub.


3. Pool and Gym

The indoor infinity pool on the 57th floor has guests floating above the skyline! And for those who want to work out, the 2,000 sq. ft. fitness center with state-of-the-art technology was designed by Harley Pasternak. Personal training sessions are available upon request.



The 57th floor is entirely dedicated to spa and wellness, comprised of the fitness center, infinity pool, and full spa with seven treatment rooms and a salon. The Spa was awarded the Forbes Five-Star recognition and focuses on Crystal Healing, with over 700 pounds of crystals embedded into the walls. Treatments are focused on crystal healing and energy, and the unique urban oasis is unmatched in the city. 


4. Bars and Restaurants

The property offers unique dining concepts by world-renowned chefs. Jean-Georges is elevating Philadelphia’s culinary scene, with Michelin-starred chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten presents a new 59th-floor destination (below). From power breakfasts to sophisticated dining, guests will enjoy impeccable food and service. 



Over at Vernick Fish, you’re invited to experience a modern seafood restaurant helmed by James Beard Award-winning chef Greg Vernick. Enjoy the lively indoor-outdoor atmosphere and excellent service along with Greg’s unique approach to American cooking. 



Then, when you need a caffeine buzz in the morning, hit up Vernick Coffee Bar. It’s more than just a place to get a cup of coffee, Vernick Coffee Bar is a modern Philadelphia café. Featuring a takeaway bakery and barista bar, along with a full-service 40-seat café, this spot serves up a menu of high-impact, global flavor combinations.



Capturing the high energy of the 60th-floor sky lobby, JG SkyHigh (above) is a comfortable lounge specializing in casual Jean-Georges cuisine. In the evening, meet for Philadelphia’s premier cocktail-hour experience – with sky-high city views. Enjoy breathtaking views for drinks at JG SkyHigh which is on the lobby level, 60 stories above Philadelphia. The Ginger Margarita is a must-try!


5. Meetings

Whether it's house-made pastries and elevated coffee for mid-meeting breaks or a custom dinner menu from Jean-Georges, the culinary team will work with you to create bespoke menus to invigorate, inspire and indulge. There is over 15,000 sq. ft. of meeting space across the 2nd, 5th, and 59th floors. You can host up to 275 friends, colleagues and customers for meal functions.
