Don't miss this!
The clock is ticking on registration for the Writers' Festival
Midnight on May 3 is the cut-off to register for this year's virtual festival, which takes place May 7 to 9.
Word on the Lake Writers Festival is an exciting and stimulating three-day festival and this year it’s on ZOOM!
Virtually anyone, anywhere can attend this major literary event.
Choose from stimulating workshops offered by a dozen presenters that cover a great variety of topics: poetry, story, memoir, editing, publishing, songwriting and more.
Also included are two master classes, a panel discussion and close-up conversation with the authors.
Evening events are part of the festival package but are also available separately:
Cafe Lit - readings by the authors, with music by Blu & Kelly Hopkins
Awards Presentation to winning entries in the Askew’s Writing Contests of 2020 and 2021.
Shock Theatre - fun theatre for those who aren't afraid to be terrified
To register for the festival, buy tickets to the Coffee House, Shock Theatre and Askew’s Writing Contest Awards Ceremony, or for information on presenters, workshops, entertainment and more, go online to www.wordonthelakewritersfestival.com
And don’t forget you must be digitally present at the closing ceremonies in order to qualify for this years’ grand prize – a pass to next year's live (we hope) festival in the beautiful Shuswap.
Take care and be well everyone. See you on Zoom!
