May is looking ahead to be a busy month for Cromwell Youth Trust. Youth Week 2021 is just around the corner and we have a wide range of exciting activities planned for our youth; from Mr Whippy making an appearance, Skateboard Art and a Sausage Sizzle. Check out all the activities below.

Also, we have our two evenings where our youth Take Over Amigos! These have been running for two years now and are always a popular fundraising event that involves our young people engaging with customers by taking them to their tables, taking their orders, serving their meals and clearing the dishes (their most favourite part).

During last month our amazing Youth Worker Fran Dustin had a goal to raise $1,000 for CYT by staying away from temptations, including chocolate, and Fran done a fantastic job raising over $1,500; more than her goal. Great work Fran.

CYT had another successful Autumn Holiday Programme and we wish to thank all the businesses who supported our Holiday Programme and allowing our youth to have the BEST time.

CYT are celebrating Youth Week 2021
"We're Stronger Together"

Cromwell Youth Trust have a week full of fun and engaging activities for all our youth to partake in.
Youth Week is about celebrating our young people and this years theme is "We're Stronger Together".

Check out below what our youth can be involved in.

HAVE YOU BOOKED A TABLE?!?

Our youth are Taking Over Amigos once again.
Have you booked your table to enjoy being served by our amazing youth?!?

Help us book out both evenings, Wednesday 12th & Thursday 13th May, by simply following these three (3) steps:
1. Choose a date to attend - either Wednesday 12th or Thursday 13th May (and book a time between 5pm - 9pm)
2. Call Amigos Cromwell on (03) 445 8263 or visit their restaurant in-person to book your table - mention it is for the 'Taking Over Amigos' night
3. Help spread the word - get your work colleagues, friends and/or family to join; share this on your social media or forward this email to your contacts

Your support will see 50% of the evenings takings being donated back to Cromwell Youth Trust to benefit our youth!

Cromwell Youth Trust have established a Rainbow Youth Group as a FREE EVENING DROP-IN session on a monthly basis. This is an opportunity for Rainbow Youth & Allies to have a safe, supportive and confidential space to spend time together.

Community Capability Resilience Fund

The Ministry of Social Development's Community Capability and Resilience Fund (CCRF) is "a fund available to community groups for initiatives that support the rebuild and recovery from COVID-19. The $36 million fund was available from 1 August 2020 to support communities over the next two years."

We want to express our gratitude to the Community Capability and Resilience Fund for helping us to purchase four new ergonomic desktops , new Software and accessories , including noise cancelling headphones for The Hangout Youth Centre.
