EDITION 203: Business Update


$10,000 grants available for community led disaster recovery

Cessnock City Council is pleased to announce grants of up to $10,000 are now up for grabs to assist with disaster recovery and building resilience.

The Cessnock Bushfire Community Recovery and Resilience Grant will be open until 14 May 2021.

Council’s Community Recovery Officer, Melissa Boucher said the grants are aimed at supporting communities overcome the social impacts of bushfires.

The draft Greater Cessnock Jobs Strategy and draft Economic Growth Agenda are now on public exhibition.

Cessnock City Council wants to hear from local businesses, residents and visitors to assist them in finalising the draft Strategy.

The draft Greater Cessnock Jobs Strategy 2036 outlines economic development priorities and opportunities that will maximise the potential and prosperity of the Cessnock local government area (LGA).

The strategy will help to strengthen our position as a desired place of residence, visitation and employment.
