That members could purchase a Happy Buck card for $20.00, and she would monitor the Happy Bucks each week.  

Helen presented the proposed budget for 2021-22 with its expected surplus of $1325.00 after review the current balance sheet and budget vs. actuals report to date for 2020-21.    
Discussion about the above items:
Eleanor reported that Bingo for March yielded $3.620.99 for the club!
The proposed date for the tree planting, a current district grant, is on May 22and is the only financial commitment still outstanding for the this year. 
Paul suggested that pending the report of the hospice committee that the club commit $50,000 over the next five years to the hospice project.  The proposed budget for 2021-22 has funding allocated for this commitment.  
Approved Motion

That the club accept the proposed district grants for 2021-22 as follows:  IOTC freezer $1500; Literacy/Environmental $2000; YWCA $1000; and Caring Cupboard $1000.

Local Community Service - Sandy
Sandy reported that the Horton Street Market will proceed on a trial basis with 3 club members, 2 Interact members and 3 members of the St. Thomas Rotary Club each week. The funds collected at the market will be targeted for the hospice project.  
Sandy further indicated that the current club projects are going well under the leadership of a variety of members.  
Rotary Youth Exchange - Al G
Al reported that 3 students so far have accepted RYLA sponsorship and the deadline is April 23.   Payment to RYLA will be made shortly after the deadline.
