Welcome to my world!

Dunguaire Castle (above) lies on the east end of Galway Bay. It was haunted in Robbie's wild youth in The Accidental Heiress.
Still on sale for one more week, my new book becomes a birthday special that will put "spring" in my life for under a dollar--or free with Amazon KU!

Cut the bottom of a red or green cabbage to  stand on its own. With a knife and spoon clean out enough in the center to insert a drinking glass to hold flowers of choice. DIY directions found on line.
For the salad, finely slice about 6 cups green and red cabbage OR sub with a 16-oz. bag of coleslaw or broccoli slaw for a short cut. Add 1 med.red pepper very thinly sliced, 2 shredded carrots and 1 cup edamame. Toss with 1/2 c. toasted almonds, sliced or slivered and sprinkle with 1/2 C. chopped cilantro if desired.
For Dressing, whisk together 1/4 C. rice vinegar, 2T honey, 2T soy sauce, 1T creamy peanut butter &1T minced fresh ginger. Dressed salad in airtight fridge container lasts 3-4 days, undressed keeps longer. Sure to impress, Colorful, healthy and delicious with buttered rolls and tea or a favorite white wine.

Coincidentally, in Part Two of the new book, Lewy wonders if finding the right baby to adopt was similar to choosing a healthy head of cabbage in the Dublin Market?

Meet Sir Francis Drake, the Newest Fosdick!

The Drakester was adopted in February and hasn't stopped smiling yet. Love goes both ways. This 8 yr. old is the smartest, most expressive and cuddly of all the furbabies who ever filled our hearts. At 35 lbs, this lap dog is larger than our 3 other Schnauzers were.
He is a gentle mentor for Sophie, our forever-confused sofa-dog, who now whines when Drake gets more attention.
He loves riding in the car, going for daily walks and chasing deer off our land, but is more tolerant of our daughter's chickens. He also understands (and obeys) more "human words" than most toddlers. A match made in heaven!?

Cj's Birthday WISH ... May Day Alert!!

Finishing the "Jessica time travel trilogy" became a priority after life intervened with serious family matters. I had good reason to finish it in 2020. It is hard enough to let go of charming characters you grow to love. In a year that most people would like to forget, I was suddenly beset with an unexplained rash, stiff neck, low BP, vertigo and fainting. All new to me-and with negative Covid tests.
I attributed it to nerves about book deadlines, allergies, sleeping wrong, even too many hot steam showers until ALL my joints were stiff and massaging neck and back knots were a waste of time and money at my gym. Moving out of bed or off the sofa hurt enough to seek out Mother Mayo's diagnosis.
PMR is the acronym for an auto-immune disease discovered after a week of tests at the Clinic, and prednisone is the miracle drug that is now in control. Side effects, however, include tiring waay too easily, giving me a good excuse to avoid marketing a book that is getting great reviews, even some comparing my trilogy to my favorite series (Outlander) by my favorite best-selling author (Diana Gabaldon.)
My birthday is just days from now. Still as a new release at just .99, a verified Amazon sale of The Accidental Heiress will cheer me more than sunshine, flowers, chocolate cake and strawberry ice cream!  The sale ends soon, however, and the book returns to full price before summer reads gear up.
Many have already bought the ebook or print, and the reviews that have come in are heartwarming. They help sell the book and loosen the marketing monkey on the author's back. So please please after you read the book, be sure to leave a short review on Amazon to reach that magic 50.
Forget the reference to $10,000 in  "DID YOU KNOW?"  Most authors I know would be thrilled to collect a small percentage of that after paying for advertising and other related writing expenses.
YOUR single review, copied and pasted from Amazon to Bookbub & Goodreads will also put a song in my heart! Great Medicine for a tired, but never retired, birthday girl who needs to think "spring" in her life right now.  God Bless.  Cj
