We've been through so much in the past year and staying healthy through movement and exercise has never been more important. Here at the Coronation Centre we want to keep you moovin and a groovin. I am so thrilled to announce that through an extension of the Seniors Community Grant and with the addition of some City funds we are able to keep the free fitness virtual classes going until June 30th. Let's hope that things will look a little more positive by then and who knows, maybe we will have an opportunity to hold outdoor fitness classes. Let's keep our fingers crossed. In the meantime, please continue to enjoy our free fitness classes run by our most amazing instructors.
The revised schedule is below for the week beginning Monday, May 3. Natalina unfortunately has hung up her sneakers for the summer as she usually does, to pursue her culinary skills in the Outback. (Natalina is also a very talented Chef). The good news is that Tammy will be teaching the Wednesday Get Fit at 9:00am. (Please note there isn't a 10:15am class). Cheryl will be taking over the Saturday classes but Sundays are discontinued at this time. Tom's Tuesday afternoon classes have moved to the morning - get your workout done and enjoy the rest of your day. And lastly, Jen our Zumba instructor is offering Coronation members 'Seated Zumba' on Wednesdays at 11:00am. Seated Zumba is new to Coronation. Seated Zumba incorporates movements taken from Latin dances like the merengue, salsa, and cha cha to create an exhilarating program that aims to improve overall energy, core stability, muscular strength, cardiovascular endurance, and motor skills, all while you are sat down. That really does sound like fun!
All the links for classes that are currently running are still working, but if you are new to the scene, or want them in one handy dandy place, please see below. I will leave you with this parting quote: 'The only bad workout is the one that didn't happen'.
