Zoar's council president, Steve Morgan, was contacted earlier today by a vaccination coordinator for Clackamas County. We have committed to filling two shifts of 10 personnel per day, so 20 total per day, for two days. Some folks might wish to volunteer both days, so it could end up being the same 20 people both days, or it could be a different 20, or a mix.
The dates are Sunday, April 25 and Monday, April 26:
I'm not able to help on Sunday, but I've signed up to help with the first shift on Monday. If needed, I might also stay on and help with the second shift.
On the day of the clinic, I think it would be cool to wear our Zoar name tags or a t-shirt or something to let folks know we're from Zoar. (For example, I plan to wear a t-shirt that Ann Skoe gave me on behalf of the knitters when I first came to Zoar. It has a picture of Martin Luther knitting--Renaissance man that he was!--and below his picture it says "Zoar Lutheran Church knitters.") Please let me know, if you have other ideas!
Yours in Christ,
Pastor Michelle Manicke
