Book Launch!"Philosophical Posthumanism"

Dearest Posthumans,

We are delighted to announce the book launch of Philosophical Posthumanism (Bloomsbury; paperback 2020 / hardcover 2019) by author Francesca Ferrando, Professor at NYU and Co-Founder of the Global Posthuman Network. The book launch, featuring many renowned scholars of the posthuman, will be held next Saturday, April 24th 2021, at the Conference "Posthumanism" (April 23-24 2021) by the Karl Jaspers Society of North America (KJSNA). The audience will have the chance to connect, ask questions, share views and insights. 

The event is free and online. You are all welcome to join, envision and celebrate!

The section will see the participation of the author Francesca Ferrando (New York University) in critical and generative dialogues with posthuman scholars:

Debashish Banerji (Haridas Chaudhuri Professor & East-West Psychology Chair, California Institute of Integral Studies), presenting on the "Traditions of Yoga in Existential Posthuman Praxis";

Jessica Ludescher Imanaka (Seattle University), presenting on "Conjoining Posthumanism with Cognitarian Futurabilities";

Kevin LaGrandeur (New York Institute of Technology), presenting on "The Ethics of Human Enhancement"

Markus Wirtz (Universität Köln, Germany), presenting on "The Hidden Religious Dimension of Posthumanism"

The section, organized by Michael Steinmann  (Stevens Institute of Technology), will be chaired by Kyle B. Gonzalez (University of California, Santa Cruz).
