Our bookkeeping is now in order. Been a long struggle to figure out how to do this, but done! Accounting on a program in the cloud (I'd never have imagined). Number Works Bookkeeping in Hood River (absolutely wonderful efficient people) help us use the program efficiently and sensibly. They reconcile the checking account, and generally keep us squared away. It is a huge relief to have this in place..
Next, we will be having a board retreat and strategic plan meeting in early June. Like the bookkeeping, we've made multiple attempts to plan. This time a new volunteer, retired executive director on a large non-profit, has come forward to facilitate, With this help, we have a great chance to focus on the questions that need answers. Writing this, it occurs to me perhaps we can circulate a draft plan for comment and input.
Finally, we have a draft, not quite finished, of an outreach document we can use with prospective board members. Not surprisingly, this too has been on the list tasks for a long time. We're hoping to have nice graphics and such and that it will be welcoming and useful
Our goal is to build a foundation that will support FWSR in future years. We are so grateful to those who continue to support us now.
