I typically don’t include articles in our newsletter.  However, this explanation has helped folks, including myself, better understand what we are experiencing.  I thought after Bloom survived Covid that I would be full of energy and zest again.  When that didn’t happen, I was concerned about myself as I usually approach life from a place of gratitude, and instead, I was numb.  After reading this article several times, I was motivated to practice what I teach and reach out for some professional help.  I knew my energy was stuck and I needed help shifting it.  This time, I chose acupuncture and am gratefully feeling more energized again!
 
Please remember that even though we know many techniques for supporting our well-being, sometimes it’s important to reach-out to professionals and be gifted with their services.

Back Story:

With much deliberation and struggle, I had decided by the end of our 2019 YOB season that after 7ish years of Summer Saturday commitments, Bloom was no longer going to be offering YOB at Canoe Creek.  Many folks have continued to share their appreciation of YOB and how inspiring it was practicing together in Nature.
 
Well, one of the guiding principles in Yoga is Bramacharya, which means Moderation.  So applying the practice of Bramacharya to YOB, Cristal and I have decided to provide Yoga On the Beach 🏖  the 2nd & 4th Saturdays 9-10:00am in June, July & August 2021!!!  There is no charge for these events, however, if feasible, a $5.00 suggested contribution for the Park's Youth Education Programming is appreciated.

We are looking forward to Celebrating Nature Together in one of our beautiful State Parks!
Mindful Vibration aka Wiggle Jiggle
Mindfulness Meditation will continue on Sundays at the Bloom Yoga & Wellness studio from 9am-10am.  If you would like to join, please RSVP to either Koelle (814-937-8018) or Tony (814-935-1185).  Covid safety protocol will be followed.  Participants are asked to wear a mask at all times while in the studio, and to bring your own items for comfort (yoga mats, blankets, etc.) Social distancing also applies.

The event is free. A $5 contribution is suggested.
Tony and Koelle are overjoyed to be back in the studio sharing space with fellow mindfulness meditators.  This Sunday marked the second in-person meditation and discussion session.  While Zooming, the format of mindfulness meditation sessions changed.  Instead of 3 meditations followed by a brief discussion, we began doing just one meditation, followed by a longer space for sharing.  At the end of each session, participants chose the topic for the next week.  This adaptation proved to facilitate better connection within the group, and created sessions which were more participant driven.  This structure has worked well in the in-person sessions as well.  Koelle and Tony have delighted in the conversations, tips, and support that the group offers one another, and feel truly blessed to be a part of this kind and loving community.
