Hello,

Have you been enjoying this beautiful spring weather? I have. Even the rain showers are welcome, as I know they will bring new life all around us.

Spring always makes me reflect on the long winter season behind us while also looking forward to what lies ahead. It also encourages me to reflect on my growth.

Five years ago this month, I was "released" from my corporate job. The company vision did not align with my moral compass, and though I tried to meet their expectations of me, I couldn't ethically make it work. Then one Friday morning, I was called into my manager's office and told, "You are the hardest working and most dedicated person in the office. We know you'd never quit, so we are letting you go."

WHAT??? That doesn't even make any sense!!! My parents raised me to believe that "hard-working" and "dedicated" were positive attributes…

It was a tough transition, but what a blessing it turned out to be (just like springtime rain)! I was done with Corporate America but lacked a plan. During that period, it was serendipity that I used the time to help a few of my elderly neighbors, which soon led me to realize that THIS was my passion! A job that would allow me to be authentic, help people, and make a difference!

Five years later, here we are! I am the owner of Everyday Hands, Inc., a well-respected business in our industry and growing by leaps and bounds.

My three wonderful employees share my beliefs, compassion, and off-beat sense of humor (as sometimes all you can do is laugh!). We are helping people throughout the community live healthier, happier lives. And I go to bed at night with a clear conscience and full heart.

I am thankful for my family, friends, clients, and everyone else who helped in the growth of Everyday Hands, Inc.! Without their encouragement, guidance, and referrals, none of this would be possible.

For that, I am eternally grateful.

Enjoy the spring!

Here to help,

Lauren Goetz

LEARN MORE

Everyday Hands had an especially organic and home-grown beginning. After surviving breast cancer and spending 25 years in Corporate America, I decided that it was time for a change. In 2016, I began helping my neighbors, friends, and loved ones with ordinary everyday tasks—sitting with an elderly neighbor for companionship, picking up prescriptions, getting kids on their morning bus, and even delivering forgotten lunch boxes to school.

Within a short amount of time other people began to call on me for similar assistance. I quickly realized that not only did I have a passion for helping people, but also there is a significant need in our community for help with “the small stuff.”

I truly love what I do and the satisfaction that I get from helping people is incredibly fulfilling!
