NMAAM Celebrates Black Music Month Juneteenth Weekend

Join NMAAM as we celebrate Black Music Month 2021 Juneteenth Weekend, June 17-19!

The festivities begin Friday, June 17 with our virtual Celebration of Legends Benefit Concert. This year's Rhapsody & Rhythm Award recipients are the legendary Fisk Jubilee Singers; GRAMMY Award-winning songwriter and recording artist, Lionel Richie; GRAMMY Award-winner and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame member, Smokey Robinson; and the maestro, GRAMMY Award-winning songwriter, arranger, and producer, Quincy Jones.
On Saturday, June 18, tune in for NMAAM's virtual State of Black Music Summit, featuring music industry leaders, professionals, and influencers in conversation about how Black music moves and shapes global culture.

We'll officially commemorate the museum's opening with our virtual dedication ceremony on Sunday, June 19. And for our friends in the Nashville area, come out Sunday afternoon for our first-ever Block Party!
