Thank you for all of the beautiful flowers and plants.
Our outside is looking so pretty!

The children have really enjoyed planting with Teacher Chris and seeing all the butterflies and ladybugs that they attract.

Planet Earth

It is our Job to take Care of the Planet

All year, everyday, we talk to the WPNS children about taking care of the environment. As a matter of fact it is the 3rd rule of our school. The environment includes our school, our home, our town, our world.

Seeing as it is Earth week, we will be focusing on and implementing, or re-implementing ways that can help our planet.

So parents, be prepared...

  • Post it notes from your children may be placed in your lunch boxes to remind you not to use zip lock bags.
  • Reusable water bottles will be asked to be brought to school, no plastic water bottles.
  • Cloth napkins, rather than paper.
  • Recyclables will be sent home, like yogurt cups.
  • Composting will begin.. (again) - if you would like to help with this let me know
  • And whatever other ideas your children and teachers come up with....

Topic: How Get Kids to Listen and Cooperate: Connect

Dipping into my Parenting That Works material

Tomorrow Night, Tuesday at 7:00 pm

For the past month or so, I have continually heard parents say. " So and so just doesn't listen....."

Well, you aren't the only one who has a child who does not listen. This loss of the "listening skill" can occur any time, many times, during different developmental stages. Let's talk, hear each other out, and hopefully I can give you some techniques / tools that you can use to invite cooperation and turn those ears on.

Family Work Day

April 24th 10:00 to 2:00

Come join in on the fun! Share in laughter! Creativity! Making the space even better for our amazing kids.  We will need gardners, organizers, brainstormers and more.

You can sign up on our website for a certain time slot, and also see what needs to be done.

This is a great time to get in some of your service hours, and if can't join us, maybe you can take something home to do.

Please Please Please

Keep bringing in your donations for the food pantry. The WPNS children have been doing pretty great filling up a large basket once a week.

The OWLS challenge you all..... let's see if EACH group can fill up a large basket by the end of next week.

Ready? Set? Go!!!!!!!
