We are contacting you as a supporter of Redhills who lives in the Sherburn area.

Starting in Sherburn, we have launched a new community network as part of the £7.25million regeneration of Redhills.

The Durham Miners Association is determined that the project will benefit former mining communities. Based on the historic lodge system of the DMA, the network aims revitalise and promote culture and bring former mining communities together to take pride in their heritage.

From Sherburn it will roll out across the Durham coalfield area.

The new network of community lodges will consist of local people and groups who are supported by staff at Redhills to develop cultural activity in their communities. The groups will also be given access to the new facilities and resources at the Miners Hall, helping to shape the future of Redhills and ensure its activities best represent and serve its communities.
