Hopeful One Year Later!
As we pass the one-year mark for the global pandemic outbreak, this month NBCC reflects on several positive outcomes within the organization that have become true silver linings during a very turbulent year. NBCC prides itself on being able to nimbly respond to the community’s current needs and boy, did we deliver!  In what seemed like daily changes in state and public health safety protocols, the North Bay Children’s Center was able to demonstrate its ability to to ensure educational programming continued and that the health and safety for all our children, families, and staff was the top priority of our organization.

Our site teams bonded more closely together as we navigated a closed-cohort model and technology provided greater opportunities to outreach and engaging with our families and school partners.  Zoom and YouTube enabled us to bond as an organization, bringing more than one hundred employees and our ideas together regularly (socially distant of course) without the hassles of commuting.

Most importantly, the hundreds of children in our care have THRIVED over the past year in their early learning and development. Our teaching teams who are professionally trained in trauma-informed care provided enriched learning experiences that build the foundation for life-long learning.

As our nation begins to get our economy up and going and parents back to work, it is important to remember that programs like the North Bay Children’s Center are an integral part of our nation’s fabric continuing to support the current workforce as well as prepare our future workforce for success.
Earth Day:
This month we celebrate our planet Earth. Children learn where their food comes from and where the waste goes, while understanding the value of composting and recycling Earth’s precious resources to ensure a healthier planet for future generations to enjoy.
