We are asking the Young Adults and Koinonia ABF to attend the 10am Chapel Gathering - that would be so helpful! 

We are in a new series called Change My Mind as we learn about transformational thinking according to God’s Word.

FIVE WAYS TO GIVE
In response to God's generosity, and as a way to support many platforms of ministry and missions at Highland, we provide five ways to give: 1) Text giving at 254-220-4845  2) Give at the kiosks set up in the Lobby 3) Baskets and drop-boxes on Sundays 4) Set up recurring giving so your giving is planned and purposeful by clicking the button 5) Give through the HBC Waco app.

WELLNESS CENTER UPDATE
As we continue to move forward with the physical building, we also continue to move ahead with our current ministries. We still need to raise $266,088 to finish out the project. If the Lord puts it on your heart to give this week, would you consider doing so? We cannot wait to open the doors of this new building for ministry all around our neighborhood! SENIOR ADULT GAME DAY

Join us on Monday, Apr. 26, at 2pm, in the Fellowship Hall for games, snacks, and great fellowship! Bring a game and snacks to share.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL UPDATE

VBS Mystery Island for all Kindergarten-5th Grade students is June 14-18, 9:30am-12:15pm. Register HERE

Join the VBS Team! It takes over 70 volunteers for VBS to run. For more information or to sign up to be a volunteer, go HERE
 
CHURCH MATCHING SCHOLARSHIPS

There is a church matching scholarship program for Highland high school students who will be attending Christian colleges with church matching programs. If you have an interest in blessing college students through giving, gifts to “Church Matching Scholarship” are accepted through June 15. Applications for scholarships will also be received through June 15.  For an application or more info, contact Ken-Kilheffer@hbcwaco.org
 
YOUNG ADULT MOVIE NIGHT 

Join us on Friday, Apr. 30, at AMC Theater for a private showing of Jurassic World. We will meet in front of the theater at 7pm. Free entrance, bring money for extra concession costs. 
STUDENT UPDATES
 
DNow weekend kicks off tonight at 6:30pm in the Chapel. We will be celebrating the weekend on Sunday, at 10am, in the Youth Room. We can't wait for what God is going to do the next couple of days! 
LAST TUESDAY YOUNG ADULT WORSHIP NIGHT

On Tuesday, Apr.27, at 7pm, the young adults will gather in the Chapel for worship, prayer, and teaching from Jared Billups.
BABY DEDICATION SUNDAY

Our next baby dedication will be Sunday, May 9, in both Gatherings. To register and find the information that is due by May 3, click HERE, or contact Amy-Granger@hbcwaco.org
PRETEEN CAMP

"Lost and Found" Preteen camp will be June 28-July 2, at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Camp, for completed 3rd - 5th Graders. The cost is $225 per child. Register HERE
LITTLE YEARS

30 DAYS OF PRAYER FOR KIDS

These are available at the Kid's check-in table or by emailing Joanie-Swingler@hbcwaco.org for a copy.  You and your children can use this time to pray for Muslims during Ramadan to come to know about Jesus and what He did for them.
PINE COVE CITY CAMP

Pine Cove City is coming to Highland July 26-30. We are looking for homes that would be willing to host counselors. If you are interested in being a host home or would like more information please contact Joanie-Swingler@hbcwaco.org 
CHURCH T-SHIRT COLLECTION

A partner church of Highland, West Brownsville Baptist, continues to minister to people crossing the border from Mexico in a number of ways. Lead Pastor, Carlos Navarro, expressed the need for the Church to be visually represented and for those being cared for to know the Church loves them. We ask that you begin bringing old church specific shirts, adult sizes S-XL in particular. We will begin collecting shirts in the Lobby on Sunday, May 9 through the rest of May. There will be large, clearly marked boxes where you can drop off the shirts. Contact Jamie-Hipp@hbcwaco.org with any questions.  
PRAY FOR OUR NEIGHBORS: RAMADAN 
 
Pray for our Muslim neighbors and Muslims around the world. Ramadan is a time each year where Muslims have a heightened sense in relation to spiritual matters. This year Ramadan began on Apr. 13 and runs through May 12. Let us respond by praying with the heart and mind of Christ. If you would like a daily prayer guide, there are a limited number of copies available at the Go Table in the Life Center Lobby. If you would like a digital prayer option, you can sign up HERE to be emailed daily prayer points throughout this season of Ramadan. 
A MINISTRY PARTNER OF HIGHLAND | ONE BODY INTERNATIONAL

The mission of OBI in Taiwan is to make followers of Jesus, empower them to walk in their identity in Him by the Holy Spirit, and train them to do the same thing with others. The vision is to see a discipleship movement of people marked by the works and ways of Jesus, which will permeate the nation of Taiwan and spread from there into all of Asia and the world.
PRAY FOR GLOBAL MINISTRY PARTNERS
 
Pray for our ministry partners, the Danner Family, serving in Taiwan. The island of Taiwan has seen minimal impact from Covid as compared to the rest of the world. But, they have still experienced intense protocol and lockdown. The Danners have continued to reach out to their neighbors and community in order to build friendships and share the Gospel. Please pray for their ongoing pursuit in sharing the Good News and making disciples. Also, pray that the Lord would make them a close-knit family as they navigate life and ministry in this pandemic season. 
GO GLOBAL
 
Save the dates for Go Global summer mission nights! We will meet at Highland each Wednesday evening this summer (June 2-July 14) where you will hear exciting reports of what the Lord is doing at Highland and among the nations. We all have a role to play in His global work: praying, going, giving, sending, and supporting missionaries and mission points throughout the world. Your worldview and understanding of God's mission will be expanded, challenged, and encouraged.
