Newton's Third Law
One of the three things we included in this month's Three Things You Need to Know was The Perk. It's an exclusive brief email that we send out to our monthly sustaining partners. We share updates, stories, prayer requests, and provide a coupon to the coffee shop as a way to say thanks for your love and support.
We asked a couple of our monthly sustaining partners to share why they give monthly. Below are some thoughts from one of our alumni and active Young Adults about why they choose to support Fairmount each month. Her words were touching and a reminder of why our passion at Fairmount is Campus and Young Adult Ministry! It is also a reminder for all of us reading her words that we can positively impact our world, and that impact can create a domino effect.
"I can't believe that it's been 8 whole years since I moved to Wichita as a Freshman at WSU! Finding a loving church community was an immediate priority, and I didn't have to do more than cross 17th street to find that at the Lutheran Student Center/Fairmount Ministries. The Fairmount family has continued to support me well after I walked across that stage (twice). Newton's 3rd Law says that every action has an equal and opposite reaction. I continue to give my time, talent, and treasures to Fairmount because they have given so much of theirs to me over the years. They will continue to support students and the community the same way they have for the past 60 years."
Currently, we have 27 individuals & families that support our ministry monthly. Six of these monthly sustaining partners are young adults/college students. These young people bless our ministry with nearly $400 each month.
