Congratulations to NASA for the first flight ever away from Earth. Incredible scientific feat.

In this relatively short research paper the author compares the Leica SPL100 single photon lidar with the RIEGL VQ-1560i full waveform sensor. The flights were of the same area in Vienna, Austria. See which one comes out ahead.

Kudos to the Microdrones team for supporting the Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems Program at Mohawk Valley Community College. These younger geospatial professionals are the future. They need our support.
