While we are exhaling after today’s verdict, we acknowledge that this verdict is not full justice—George Floyd wouldn’t have been murdered in the first place in a just world.
We are creating a supportive space for love and hope to help our brothers and sisters heal from all of the compounded trauma caused by the repeated egregious murders of mostly Black and Brown people across the nation since its founding, but especially over this past year.
At this moment, we must move forward on our razor-sharp focus to advance justice—health equity is our North Star as we commit to creating and ensuring the political, social, economic, and structural conditions that allow all humans to achieve health.
