UN Agencies transition to cloud-based telephony

Many United Nations Agencies and international organizations are transitioning from conventional enterprise telephony systems to cloud-based solutions that allow users to make mobile, landline and international phone calls through Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) connections. UNICC has supported several entities that wanted to adopt and modernize their voice solutions with a smooth integration during the challenging times brought by the COVID-19 pandemic.

120,000 refugees now able to access Iran’s health insurance scheme 

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect refugees and host communities in the Islamic Republic of Iran, UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, is ensuring that another 20,000 refugees can access the country’s national health insurance scheme, taking the number of persons covered to 120,000.

UNAIDS launches a regional network for people living with HIV in the Middle East and North Africa

The UNAIDS MENA Plus network aims to enhance the leadership, representation and effective engagement of people living with HIV across the Middle East and North Africa.
