What we did for Easter 2021

After a lockdown Easter last year, our churches, schools and their communities were delighted that this year they could celebrate the risen Christ, in their buildings, in their churchyards and online.

While worship was of course socially-distanced and congregational singing only possible outside, Easter 2021 was celebrated across our Diocese with increasing confidence, creativity and commitment. Read more....

Funding boost for Blandford
A much-loved Dorset church is to share in a £611,000 funding payout from the National Churches Trust.

The Revd David John, Vicar of Iwerne Valley, has published 'My God Your God Who?', his first book, a reflection on why we believe what we believe, with a foreword by Bishop Nicholas, and a third of the profits donated to the charity Children with Cancer. Deanery Synod Members:
Please aim urgently to fill any vacancies amongst the Deanery Synod Representatives in your parish. Deanery Synod Members elect representatives to the Diocesan Synod and to the General Synod of the Church of England and elections to both these bodies take place this year. It is important that we have a strong electorate representing the voices of the parishes and deaneries.
