23 April 2021

Dear <<First Name>>

This Sunday is Anzac Day. Australians will pause to commemorate those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in wars and peace keeping missions in defence of our nation.

While many ceremonies are still restricted because of the pandemic, there are still opportunities to give thanks for those who served in our armed forces and their families. This ANZAC Day also marks the 100th anniversary of commemoration services in Liverpool.

We will remember them.

Lest we forget.

ANZAC Day

ANZAC Day is one of the most important days on the national calendar. It is a time we can all connect as Australians and remember the service and sacrifices made by our service men and women.

No matter where you are on Sunday, you'll be able to tune in to the ANZAC Day National Dawn Service at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra live from 5:30am AEST here.

The Australian War Memorial has developed a virtual poppy wall for ANZAC Day where you can place a poppy and leave a message of thanks for the brave men and women who served our nation.

You can find the poppy wall here

No Health Worker Parking Tax

NSW Labor are calling on residents to sign their petition about the State Government's plans to introduce a parking tax for front-line health workers.

Health workers have been at the front-line of NSWs ongoing response to the COVID-19 Pandemic and do not deserve to be slapped with a new parking tax of more than $1,000 a year just to go to work.

If you call my office on (02) 8783 0977 or email me on Anne.Stanley.MP@aph.gov.au, I will send you a copy of the petition to sign and return to my office.

I urge everyone to get in contact and sign the petition.

Hazard Reduction Burning This Weekend

The hazy skies this morning are due to the hazard reduction burning that is underway across the State.

If you have a heart or lung condition, reduce outdoor activities if smoke levels are high and if shortness of breath or coughing develops, seek medical advice.

The burning will continue through the weekend.
