How to find your child’s report on the Engage Parent Portal

  1. The Parent Portal can be found at https://portal.rghs.org.za/

  2. If you have forgotten your password, use the “Forgot Password” link to be sent an email that will enable you to reset your password.

  3. If you have forgotten your username, or the link above does not work (the email sometimes goes AWOL) you can email info@rghs.org.za for assistance.

  4. Once you have managed to log in, you will see your childrens’ photos and names in the top right quarter of the screen – click on the “View Details” button under your favourite child’s photo to access their information.

  5. On the Pupil Details page, you will see a series of blue bars entitled “Contact Details”, “Attendance”, etc. – scroll down until you find the one marked “Assessment Reports” and click on it.

  6. When the section expands, you will see a “Reporting Period:” drop-down list – select “2021 Term 1” from this list.

  7. You should see two files respectively called “Assessment Report…” and “Behaviour Work Report…” – click on the links to open the respective PDF files.

  8. The Parent Portal is best viewed on a PC or Laptop, rather than on a mobile device.

  9. For more a more detailed guide to the Parent Portal, please download the Engage Parent Portal User Guide

  10. If you get stuck, email info@rghs.org.za for assistance, but bear in mind that due to school holidays, our response time may not be as quick as usual.

Winter uniform changeover extension

We have extended the winter uniform changeover date. Next term pupils may wear either complete winter or summer uniform. No combinations of the two are allowed. We will inform both parents and pupils of the new changeover date as soon as it has been finalised.

Click here to view the uniform regulations and the Bugs’ Boutique webpage.

News

GREEN FLASH

  • From next term, there will be a new, eco-friendly way of sanitizing desks and chairs at the beginning of lessons. Currently the paper towel method is generating massive amounts of waste. There will be microfibre cloths in most of the classes to wipe the desks down. The cloths will then be hung up again to dry out before the next lesson. In the few classes that don’t have these cloths, we urge you to use less paper towels - you only need a small square to get the job done.
  • Global Action Days - #MyActionsMatter: All learners are urged to take part in this intenational Eco-Schools campaign. To participate, you can download the Treasure Earth App (Activation code: 9RtgoYI) and track your small positive actions over 21 days.
