Meet the owners, make the connection

In a world that is increasingly disconnected, we continue to talk about opportunities of reconnecting through nature. With the safari season opening in Zambia (yes our camps are ready to accept guests) we thought this was the perfect time to share our third Conscious Journey: ICONIC ZAMBIA.

Both THE BUSHCAMP COMPANY and CHIAWA SAFARIS are owner run and managed. Andy Hogg lives at Mfuwe Lodge while Grant & Lynsey Cumings live in Lusaka (and are in their camps on a regular basis).
Both have been members of Classic Portfolio for over 15 years!

Due to a shorter season in Zambia, essentially from May to October, these camps have not had much tourism since 2019. Through these very challenging times both Andy and Grant have remained committed to their teams, their communities and the wild places in which they operate their camps.

For 2021 we encourage our trade partners to book a Zambian safari where guests will reconnect with nature and meet the owners who run their businesses with purpose and passion.

FREE PRIVATELY GUIDED ACTIVITY - Guests receive one free privately guided activity per full day at Chiawa Camp

ACCESS
PROFLIGHT UPDATE (Updated 7th May)

This internal flight schedule is set to be reviewed again in 2 weeks time to update routes for 16 June onwards, and remains subject to change.

Lusaka/Mfuwe Flying 3 times a week right now and moving up to 4 times a week from 1 June, and daily from 16 June
Lusaka/Livingstone Flying 5 times a week and moving to daily from 16 June
Lusaka/Jeki Flights are occurring on ad-hoc basis through 15 June
Mfuwe/Jeki Flights are occurring on ad-hoc basis, and via Lusaka through 15 June; the direct route will operate form 16 June based on a minimum passenger number, otherwise will go through Lusaka
Livingstone/Jeki All flights will route through Lusaka with exceptions being made on a case by case basis

COVID UPDATE

ARRIVE: Negative PCR test result, administered no later than 72 hours prior to arrival. Only those showing Covid-19 symptoms will be required to quarantine on arrival.
Every traveller must complete a health questionnaire before / during their international flight.
DEPART: Guests to enjoy their final evening on safari at Mfuwe Lodge for PCR testing. $250 per swab which is then flown to Lusaka for same day processing (timings to be coordinated with The Bushcamp Company or your DMC).
