She is a graduate of Truman State University, a Mel Foster Realtor, and a local coordinator for Iowa Resource for International Service. in this role, Emerald has mentored and hosted students from around the world.
Third and Brown Street in downtown Davenport will now be the home to a Tapestry Farms garden plot. Tapestry Farms invests in the lives of immigrants and refugees by reclaiming underutilized land to grow fresh vegetables, fruit, herbs, and flowers in Quad Cities' food deserts. Refugees are employed to put their agricultural talents to work, benefiting their new community and families.  To find out more, read QCAIR's story about Tapestry Farms in our Spring Newsletter.
