Players and Families,
The 2021 season games will be starting next week, coaches if you missed jersey handout last night stop by the concession stand before a game and we will get you your jerseys and hats. Also all Head Coaches this year should have received a coaches shirt. The jerseys, hats are the kids to keep this year and going forward, please thank our sponsors for allowing us to do that.
Ok families a few things we want to cover prior to games. With the ongoing battle against COVID there are a few things at the fields that have had to change until we can get back to normal we need every to respect these in order for the league to continue.
- The areas behind home plate between dugouts are off limits, the sponsor banners are hung there in order to help prevent people form watching games there. Our sponsors are a huge reason we can do what we do and we need to respect that.
- Seating will be around the outfield fences, bring chairs, there will be no grandstands, we know this makes it hard sometimes to see everything but unfortunately this is something we have had to do to keep the players, families, and community safe.This is a requirement in order for us to play at the fields.
- Masks are mandatory at the concession stand and bathrooms, we understand some may not agree with masks but we have to look out for the safety of all families as well as the workers in the concession stand.
- Umpires are older players looking to give back and learn another area of the sport, they will make bad calls, miss calls, etc. Please let them make the calls and do the best they can, we will also work with them to help them learn as well. These are great kids that really love the game, tel them thank you when you see them out there.
All that being said lets have a great season, please remember the kids are here to have fun, be competitive, but also learn sportsmanship, as parents, coaches, and the board it is our responsibility to set the example of that.
