- CC did not send any notifications about positive COVID-19 test results during the week of May 3. All positive test result notifications are available here. All known CC cases, regardless of whether exposure occurred at CC, appear on the CC COVID-19 dashboard.

Updated Travel Protocols Starting June 1
|
|
|
While vaccination rates are continuing to increase throughout the spring, travel is still discouraged. However, CC will modify its travel policy beginning June 1. Those who do travel should follow these guidelines for domestic travel: Fully vaccinated CC community members may submit proof of vaccination and do not need to quarantine or test upon return from travel, unless they experience symptoms. Everyone coming to campus must continue following all campus COVID-19 protocols. Travelers who are not fully vaccinated should follow CDC guidelines to quarantine and test upon return from out-of-state travel or travel with overnight stays and follow all campus COVID-19 protocols. All travelers should follow CDC guidance while traveling. If you travel internationally, you should follow CDC guidance as well as official guidance for your destination or origin. Keep in mind that you may be required to test and quarantine upon arrival at your destination, and in some cases the location of quarantine may be dictated by the receiving jurisdiction, and the cost of quarantine and testing may be incurred at your expense. What Does It Mean to be Fully Vaccinated?

You are fully vaccinated:
- Two weeks after their second dose in a two-dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or
- Two weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

Faculty, and staff should get vaccinated now, in preparation for the transition to on-campus work in June. The Office of Human Resources is convening a working group to focus on return-to-campus plans; additional information is coming soon.

Two Million Coloradans Vaccinated
|
|
|
Last week, Gov. Jared Polis announced that Colorado passed a significant benchmark with more than 2 million Coloradans now fully vaccinated. This includes Coloradans who have received the Moderna, Pfizer, and Johnson & Johnson vaccines. Currently, 2,674,623 people have received one dose, and 2,037,137 Coloradans are fully vaccinated. Fully vaccinated means two weeks after receiving the second Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, or two weeks after receiving the “one and done” Johnson & Johnson vaccine. There are currently 4.7 million Coloradans, age 16 and older, who are eligible to receive the vaccine.

Need Access to Campus After Block 8?
|
|
|
Students who will be living off campus, in the local area, and will need access to campus over the summer months (Blocks A, B, and C) for coursework, employment, access to support resources, etc., must complete this Summer Campus Access Request form by 11:59 p.m., Wednesday, May 12, in order to maintain general campus access. In addition to completing this form, students requesting summer campus access must continue to participate in random sampling testing and follow all campus COVID-19 risk-mitigation policies to retain this access. Those students who are staying on campus or living locally and accessing campus from the end of Block 8 to Block A are not required to participate in arrival protocols, but must continue weekly testing.

Check Out CC COVID Dashboard
|
|
|
The CC COVID-19 dashboard shows all known CC community cases, including our local off-campus students and employees. It provides quick access to COVID-19 metrics on campus and in the El Paso County community, including COVID-19 exposure, testing, and positive test results. For questions regarding this data, please contact Ben Moffitt in the Office of Institutional Planning and Effectiveness. We send a notification when an individual who receives a positive COVID-19 test result has been on campus within their contagious timeframe and may have been in contact with others on campus.
