Next Pulse Session: Zero Project, Emplace Initiative

Join the Western Australian Alliance to End Homelessness for its monthly Pulse Session in June. Pulse Sessions are open to all and your opportunity to engage and learn about how we are working together to end homelessness!

Past Pulse Session: Aboriginal Experiences of Housing First

Our last Pulse Meeting saw the launch of the Zero Project Evaluation Snapshot: Aboriginal Experiences of Housing First. The research delves into the drivers and experiences of Aboriginal people experiencing homelessness, looks at the challenges in addressing housing needs and the implications for Housing First in an Aboriginal context.

Beddown

The Alliance in partnership with Shelter WA express concern the City of Perth is considering a trial of Beddown in the City’s carparks. This is not an appropriate response to provide temporary sleeping options for people who are sleeping rough.

Indigenous Housing

Reimagining Indigenous Housing, Health and Wealth: The Necessary Ecological Response to Unlock the Potential in the Indigenous Estate – proposes an ecological approach to realising Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians’ aspirations for a high standard of health and housing, and of personal and collective wealth.

Journey to Home Project

Identifying the unique needs of migrants to Australia from culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) backgrounds who have current or past challenges accessing housing and/or are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

The Emplace Initiative

The Emplace Initiative is a facilitator and coordinator of Western Australian business to enable a Housing First solution for people experiencing homelessness.

Zero Project - A Series of Housing First 'Bite Size Chats'

Come and explore how different parts of the world put 'Housing First' into practice. The Zero Project will be conducting a series of short interview style 30 minute discussions, with a variety of people from Europe and Australia.

Emerging Issues Forum

A forward-focused scan to analyse the most current and relevant trends affecting the sector, providing an opportunity to members of WACOSS to gather information on the evolving landscape of the community services sector in WA for their future planning needs.
