Working for a brighter future

This month we are mourning the loss of our colleague in Tanzania, Dr Paula Tibandebage, who has been responsible, in longstanding collaboration with our Development Policy and Practice group, for a series of research projects in the broad area of health with considerable policy impact. Our ongoing research into cancer care access in East Africa builds on her achievements.

We also report on the effects of the crisis in Myanmar on our programmes there, and what we are doing to leave a sustainable legacy. On a happier note, we have news of a much-needed initiative to support children in one of the world’s most challenging environments for education (see photo above). Last but not least, check out our new course on Safeguarding in the International Aid Sector, now online and free to join!
