Invitation: Informational and Organizing AB-22 Meeting
CQEL will be holding an informational briefing alongside advocacy partners next Monday, May 10th, at 7pm PST. It's important you join to understand the bill and what you can do.

AB-22, a bill introduced by Assemblymember McCarty, threatens to move all 4-year-olds and low-income 3-year-olds into public and charter school Transitional Kindergarten ("TK"), with less hours and days of care than CSPP.

The bill has moved through the Assembly and awaits funding. It is time to get informed and take action.

Join us on Monday, May 10th at 7pm PST for an AB-22 bill briefing. Here's the agenda:
1. What’s in Assembly Bill 22?
2. What is the legislative process and when and where can we exert influence?
3. Model for contacting local representatives
4. Breakout rooms to organize local efforts

The Zoom invite will be shared mid-day Monday.
