Hello, knitters!
It's time to put more classes on my schedule. Here's what's coming up in May (that's the month we're in right now, in case you've lost track) (I'm not judging) (I never know what day it is anymore, let alone the month) (you could tell me it's almost Halloween and I'd believe you).
There will be more classes in June and July, including a new one in my series of custom-fit sweater design classes. In this one the words "top" and "down" play a prominent role. Yay!

READING YOUR KNITTING
Have you ever taken the time to LOOK at your knitting?
Description
What does your cast-on row reveal? Which way do your stitches face? Are you on the right side or the wrong side of the fabric? How many rows have you worked? In stockinette? In garter stitch? In another stitch pattern? Did you remember to increase/decrease in the previous row? How many rows has it been since you last increased/decreased? How do you keep track of where you ARE? How do you figure out where you WERE?
Let's SLOW DOWN and learn the anatomy of a stitch, then study the fabric below the needles. Sarah has tricks to help you discover what you've done and where you are, and she'll show you how to keep track going forward. In no time at all, you'll be a smarter, more confident knitter!

Become the boss of your knitting!
Description
Study the anatomy of a stitch, then apply what you’ve learned to correct a variety of common knitting mistakes including twisted stitches, dropped stitches, split stitches, and holes. Learn to safely tear back a stitch, a row, or an acre of knitting without losing your cool. Gain confidence and enjoy your knitting even more!

Seeing double? No trouble!
Description
Double knitting is pure magic. Using one method, a piece worked flat opens up as if it had been knit in the round. Using another method, the image created on the front of the fabric will appear in reverse image on the back. Learn both methods to create a small bag and a two-sided coaster, while practicing appropriate cast-on, bind-off, and chart-reading techniques.

Description

FACEBOOK LIVE
I'm still yapping away on Facebook Live every few Mondays at 5:00 pm Eastern on my Sarah Peasley, Handknitter, Facebook page. I give a shortish (30-45 minutes) preview of something that's coming up (like classes!) or ongoing (like my never-ending pile of WIPs and UFOs). This week I talked about Johnny Marzetti.
You can watch the Facebook Live events live (duh), or you can watch them later (in case you want to find out what happened to Johnny Marzetti).
I am more than happy to take your knitted pieces and turn them into a finished item! Seams, borders, weaving in ends, sewing on buttons, or ? — I can do that for you.
