Mental Health Awareness Month

In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, we at the SDN are pleased to have the opportunity to showcase the great work our community is doing within this critical space, as demonstrated by the work of SDN Accredited Master Trainer, Milla Mäkinen.
To communicate the value that service design can bring to mental health, Milla Mäkinen posed the following question: How might we use service design to make the invisible people seen and heard as a means to enhance mental wellbeing and improve mental health services? Explore Milla's case study "Co-creating NGO Strategy for Improving Mental Health in Finland" to learn how she answered the question via her work with the Finnish think tank and civil and human rights organisation, Kukunori.
Milla furthered her exploration on the topic in January and February 2021 via her Service Design Academy course "Service Design for Social Wellbeing", where she illustrated how service design could co-create new social wellbeing solutions.
