NLC has set up three new Schemes to boost businesses and self-employed start-ups. Find out more here.

Business Start-Up Fund
This is a limited fund of grants for those who are planning to become self-employed or are starting a small business.
You will get:
- A Grant up to a maximum of £1000 is available for equipment and capital expenditure
- 12 hours of one-to-one support and webinars from the Local Enterprise Partnership

Business Diversification Fund
The BDF is a fund for existing businesses in the Visitor Economy. The aim of this fund is to generate sustainable job growth in this sector, with employment created lasting a minimum of two years.
You will get:
- A grant of up to £7,000 per new job created and £6,000 per new job safeguarded, for an investment project(s) that directly creates new employment.
- Professional Advice to develop Growth and Diversification Plans.
- A maximum of £1 for every £4 that the business invests in the project (1:4 investment ratio)

COVID-19 Renew Scheme
This Scheme is for existing businesses disadvantaged through job losses in the pandemic, with employment created lasting a minimum of two years.
You will get:
- A grant of up to £7,000 per new job created and £6,000 per new job safeguarded, for an investment project(s) that directly creates new employment.
- Professional Advice to develop Growth and Diversification Plans.
- A maximum of £1 for every £4 that the business invests in the project (1:4 investment ratio)
