Bloomberg Media has announcedthattheBloomberg New Economy Forum will convene on November 16-19, 2021 in Singapore.
As the global economy emerges from lockdown, the fourth annual forum will bring together the world’s most influential business executives, heads of state, innovators, and academics.
Leaders from East to West, public and private sectors, developed and developing nations will mobilize behind the effort to build a sustainable global economy that creates jobs, reduces inequality and improves public health.
“The time since the last New Economy Forum has dramatically underlined why the event, and the themes that drive it, are so important. The pandemic has shown how interconnected we are and why cooperation is critical,” said Mike Bloomberg.
“New vaccines show the power of technology and public-private partnerships to address humanity’s challenges. And the disproportionate impacts of the virus, and uneven global access to vaccines, have shown how far we have to go to build an equitable future," Mike added.
"This is the second time that Singapore will be hosting the forum, following our successful hosting of the inaugural Forum in 2018. Health and safety remains Singapore’s top priority, and we will work closely with the Bloomberg team to create a safe and conducive environment to welcome all delegates here in November,” said Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.
The Bloomberg New Economy Forum Advisory Board, chaired by Hank Paulson and honorary chair Henry Kissinger, is composed of more than 40 distinguished government and business leaders from around the world.

Speaking to The Straits Times on Tuesday, May 4, from his office in New York, Bloomberg Media's global CEO Justin Smith said the good experience when Singapore hosted the inaugural forum three years ago, coupled with the country's stringent health protocols, made it an easy decision to hold the event here again.
The U.S. could be through the worst of the Covid-19 pandemicby July if vaccinations continue at high rates and people wear masks and physically distance when necessary, according to projections published Wednesday by the CDC.
The projections are not definitive and can certainly change if people's behavior changes in the next few months.
However, they do fall in line with President Joe Biden's assertion that the United States will be able to reach some level of "normal" by Independence Day.
"A sharp decline in cases was projected by July 2021," the study authors wrote, "with a faster decline in the high-vaccination scenarios."
CDC director Dr. Rochelle Walenskysaid the models suggest "an even faster decline if more people get vaccinated sooner."
Florida Republicans are now 0-2 in substantiating widespread election fraud claims that the state’s top law enforcement agencyinvestigated.
Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried, the lone statewide elected Democrat, blasted the governor and Attorney General Ashley Moody for launching what she called a “witch hunt.”
“As was clear from the beginning, this political witch-hunt against the Florida Rights Restoration Coalition and Mayor Bloomberg was based on nothing, would find nothing, and was a waste of our state’s law enforcement resources by our governor and attorney general,” Fried said in a statement to Politico.
“Their time would have been better spent working with me and others to restore voting rights for a million Floridians disenfranchised by our broken rights restoration system," she added.
Adams, the Brooklyn Borough president, was the first-place pick for 21% of the respondents. Yang followed at 18%, and City Comptroller Scott Stringer had 15% support.
