Governor Pritzker Announces Move to Bridge Phase
Governor Pritzker announced today that on May 14, 2021, Illinois will enter the "Bridge Phase" of Phase 4 of the Restore Illinois COVID-19 mitigations. The Bridge to Phase 5 will allow for higher capacity limits and increased business operations. All regions of the State will move through these next phases together based on statewide metrics.
Starting on May 14, the following capacity rules will go into place, and mask requirements will remain in place:
- 60% capacity for health and fitness centers, offices, personal care businesses, retail and service counters, theaters, and meetings and conferences
- Standing areas outdoors to 50% capacity
- Farmers Market capacity to 30 people per 1,000 sq ft outdoors
- Indoor recreation to groups of 100
- Social events to 250 people indoors and 500 people outdoors

Happy 18th Anniversary, Noah's Ark!
Happy anniversary to Angie DeMars, the owner of Noah's Ark at 831 Elm Street in downtown Winnetka! Noah's Ark is an independent pet supply store serving Winnetka and the North Shore.
Noah's Ark offers dog and cat owners fresh whole-food alternatives as well as freeze-dried, dehydrated, canned and dry food. They carry a unique line of treats, pet accessories, and grooming items. Follow them on social media.
They are open Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 6:30 PM, Saturday 9:30 AM - 5 PM, and Sunday 11 AM - 4 PM. Delivery and curbside pickup are available.

Apply for the Restaurant Revitalization Fund
Winnetka restaurants are encouraged to apply for the Restaurant Revitalization Fund (RRF). The RRF will provide funding of up to $5,000,000 per location for applicants who meet certain conditions, not to exceed $10,000,000 total for the applicant and any affiliated businesses. The minimum award will be $1,000. It is a first come, first served program.
Restaurant owners who are women, veterans, or socially or economically disadvantaged will have their applications prioritized through May 24, 2021.

Rebate For New Commercial Fire Sprinkler Systems
Do you need to install a new fire sprinkler system because of a "Change of Use" requirement? Are you looking for financial assistance? The Village can help!
A rebate from the Village of Winnetka is available to any applicant who has applied for a fire sprinkler permit on or after January 1, 2016 for a sprinkler system installed under the "Change of Use" requirement.
The rebate is inclusive of:
- Plan review fees
- Water tap fees
- Street replacement fees
- Right-of-way opening fees
