Worship has been great out on the church property. Each week at 9am we welcome all who feel comfortable being "in-person" for worship together. This past Sunday, we celebrated Mother's Day and the family. On Sunday, May 16th we will participate in the joy of baptism. Amelia Cyann Lavander will receive the Sacrament of Holy Baptism. It is a great day in the life of the church when we welcome our newest and youngest member of the congregation!
We are encouraging our various ministries to resume meetings in our back room designated for Bible Study and ministry meetings. We are beginning the process of putting together a procedure for our re-entry to in-person worship in our worship center. We will share more information on those details after our next Church Council Meeting on May 17th.
We also want to share that Thrivent Financial is working with us on our current mortgage payment for the property. Because we now have the property listed for sale, Thrivent is asking only for interest payments on the loan for the next three months. We are deeply appreciative of their consideration. That brings our monthly payment down to $6100.
We are also thankful for your commitment. As, together, we have moved through this pandemic, we are a vital congregation because of your continued involvement and financial support of the ministry. We thank you and encourage you to continue your faithfulness.

Hello Church Family,
Throughout the month of May, Spirit of Joy will be collecting children/youth Christian books. Please bring any new or like-new books that you would like to donate. In June we will host a Christian Book Drive-Through and hope to distribute as many books as we can to the children in our congregation and maybe all of Ramona! Any Christian book appropriate for ages infants through 14 are welcome. Thank you so much, and hopefully we can reach a lot of children with a gift of a book, and invite them to worship with us! - Dropping them in the collections box each week at our outdoor service.
- Dropping them in the collections box at the church office during office hours.
- Calling Christy Serra at 760-917-1023 to arrange a time for pick up at your house.

We have no specific agenda except to get to know other Christian men in an informal gathering.

We are grateful for all ministries at Spirit of Joy meeting in the back room of our church facility. Each of our groups can meet currently with a maximum of 8 persons. We continue temperature checks, and everyone is asked to wear a mask. Cleaning is requested after each group meets. We are moving closer to opening up our facility to more opportunities. Thank you for your dedication to the protocols that have been in place for Spirit of Joy gatherings.

Safety Procedure for Worship
We encourage your arrival between 8-8:45am for set up. Everyone is encouraged to wear masks on entry and departure on the church property. Bring your own chairs, pop-ups, umbrellas, and bottled water. To insure your safety, we will have a table with prepackaged communion (1st and 3rd Sunday each month), bulletins (also a digital bulletin is available on your electronic devices), and temperature check. Please practice social distancing of at least 6ft of separation per family unit. Trash cans are available to dispose of all trash upon leaving. If for any reason you are not feeling well, at higher risk, or uncomfortable with attending, we invite you to enjoy the service live-streamed. If you prefer staying in your car, there will be a designated area for you to do so.
