FORT MASON FLIX: Humor, Graduation & More     F I TT
FORT MASON FLIX is tapping into the times with movies about high-school graduation and the last days of being a teen; glorious humor for children, families, and adults; wartime movies in honor of Memorial Day; cutting-edge 2021 releases; and films that explore diverse cultures and communities.

Bid adieu to carefree high-school days with a range of movies such as John Hughes' 1980s masterpiece Pretty In Pink, George Lucas' all-American memoir about '60s Central California teen cruise culture American Graffiti, Richard Linklater's hilarious send-off to '70s stoner students Dazed And Confused, and Justin Lin's early millennial look at the more sinister side of teen boredom Better Luck Tomorrow

Remember our troops with two World War II epics about trying to save people during wartime. Christopher Nolan's Dunkirk (2017) shows how U.K. and U.S. military operations rescued thousands of soldiers trapped between the ocean and the advancing enemy lines, with the help of a volunteer civilian small boat flotilla. Steven Spielberg's classic Saving Private Ryan lands right before Memorial Day with another incredible rescue story.

Lighten up the late Spring season with funny flicks for adults, children, and families, including Despicable Me 2, Coming 2 America, Jackie BrownSpy Kids, The Princess Diaries, Osmosis Jones, and Tom & Jerry (2021). Be amazed by big-screen special effects blockbusters like Pacific Rim and A Wrinkle In Time (2018). Explore diverse histories and cultures with The Berlin and Beyond Film Festival, The Joy Luck Club, and Judas And The Black Messiah.

Check out complete listings below and at EventBrite and FortMason.org/FLIX. Enjoy these longer movie nights via tasty culinary adventures with Fort Mason Center For Arts & Culture resident groups, including Equator Coffees Cafe, Greens Restaurant, Goody Cafe, Off The Grid, and The Interval At Long Now.
