COVID RESPONSE UPDATE
All families can now access packs of lateral flow tests to conduct regularly at home. This means that we can now update our previous guidance.
Should your child develop symptoms of Covid-19, we request that a Lateral Flow Test is conducted at home. Should the test show a negative result, and you believe that the symptoms are not Covid related then you may bring your child into school. If the test displays a positive result then a full PCR test is required before a return to school. We hope that this will ensure that children can remain in school without the need to isolate. We do hope you will support us in this. Lateral Flow Tests can be obtained by following this link
SCHOOL REPORTS - School reports will be sent out today. Mrs Nicholas will be sending out the link to access your child's report via ISAMS with the exception of Year 6 whose reports will be sent out via email directly.
TEACHER ASSESSMENTS - Please view an explanation letter from Mr Lang here
CLASS PHOTOS - These are now ready to be ordered via Imago Juniors . Please view the logging in details here
TURNING CIRCLE
Please can all parents and those picking up and dropping off pupils via the back gates keep an eye on their children at all times and ensure they don't run around the turning circle area as this is still in use for vehicles. Thank you.
WEDNESDAY 12TH MAY - KS2 HAIR RAISING DAY!
On Thursday 13th of May, Amelie is having her hair cut in aid of The Little Princess Trust. She has so far raised £260 on her fundraiser page but is keen to raise the full £500 which is about the cost of making a wig.
We would very much like to help Amelie reach her goal, so we are asking all KS2 pupils to support this charity by bringing in a donation of £1 (or more) and either wearing a wig, sporting a wacky hairstyle, donning any kind of hair accessory or changing their hair in any way they choose.
It would be wonderful if Amelie manages to raise enough to provide a wig for a well deserving child and we look forward to seeing her return to school with her stylish new hair cut.
FRIDAY 21ST MAY - ENDANGERED SPECIES DAY
Mrs McLaren (ex-WGS parent) from the Rhisotope Project charity recently got in touch with us, asking if we could complete some research across the school, and it made us think it would be a nice idea to raise some money to prevent Rhino poaching. On Friday 21st May, which is National Endangered Species Day across the world, we ask that every child in the school will bring in £1 to dress up as an endangered animal of their choice. On this day, we will have a competition for the three best costumes across the three key stages and the winners will get a small prize. We would love it if your children could participate. Thank you
Written and organised by The Harmony Committee (Pippa Brand, Alice Dunn and Petra Strickland)
