Hello Friends,

We hope your Easter season is still going strong! We have many opportunities to get together for Pentecost coming up. May a new outpouring of the Holy Spirit envelope us all in this time of our lives. There are also some outdoor activities with Catholic Sports as the warm weather continues. Take advantage! 😊

As some of you may know our associate director, Mayra Price, will be stepping away from her role to spend some more time at home with her beautiful baby Gaby. We wish her well and thank her for so much time spent walking with and investing in our community. Don’t worry, she will still be around in other capacities, but please reach out to her with well wishes!

Know that we keep you in our prayers always,

The YAM team: Drew, Mayra and Yazmin

Letters to a Young Catholic: How to Pray

My first letter to you on how to pray had a bitter taste. That came from the instruction to become a beggar. Neither you nor I like to beg. It is humiliating, we become vulnerable, and it wounds our pride. We lose control when we beg because we put ourselves at someone else’s mercy. Read more...

May 2021: The World of Finance
Today, when we hear talk of finances, we often feel as if it’s a subject very distant from our day-to-day life. As Francis says, “How far the world of high finance is from the life of the majority of people!” It doesn’t have to be this way. Share this petition of the Pope that financial speculation be regulated and high finance serve the common good.

Finding Generosity
Have you ever met certain people and thought, “Geesh… what’s in their coffee? And how can I get some of what they have?” This week on Good and Decent, Sara and Javi muse on people who exude generosity in their daily lives, and what we can learn from them.
