As of April 27, 2021 the CDC adjusted its guidance regarding mask wearing in outdoor spaces. According to the CDC, fully vaccinated people no longer need to wear a mask outdoors, except in certain crowded settings and venues.
When the CDC updates their guidance, we take the time to reassess our policy. Due to their exception of “certain crowded settings and venues,” we are keeping our current rules in place.
The chief reason for our rules has always been the comfort and safety of our staff members. Only recently, have a majority of our staff members become eligible to receive a Covid-19 vaccine, and many are currently scheduled to receive their first injection this month.
By mid-June we plan to reexamine our outdoor mask policies as more of our staff become fully vaccinated. However, even if we relax our rules, masks will still be required inside our store, structures, while checking out, or while interacting with staff members, whether indoors or outside.
We appreciate your patience with maintaining our policy as we approach the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel. As long as we remain vigilant as a community, we will all have much to look forward to soon.
