Dear readers,
The last newsletter already dates from beginning February and in the meantime lots has happened. After some fun and intense months of editing and two rounds of test-viewings, editor Merel Notten and myself decided on ‘Notes from Brussels’ picture-lock on Saturday April 24
th. The film is currently in the studios for sound design and colour grading. My multi-talented editor Merel is fine-tuning the music she composed for the film and a film-poster is being designed. In about two weeks we hope to emerge with a finished film that is ready to be submitted to film-festivals. We are working on our release strategy and hope to be able to give more news on that in a next newsletter.
In the mean time I am happy to introduce to you the organizations that right after the crowdfunding campaign came on board as donors. I am very thankful for their support and contribution to the film’s marketing and distribution budget.
Renew Europe is the centrist group in the European Parliament and the overarching European political group to which the French Democratic Mouvement (MoDem) belongs. MoDem is the political party of the Member of the European Parliament for whom one of my main characters Anne-Cécile works.

The Nine is Belgium's first private member's club designed for women. Housed in a renovated Brussels art nouveau townhouse, it puts women at the centre of the gender equality conversation. From the artwork to the wine list and skincare products, The Nine champions female suppliers and producers. Facilities include bars, restaurant, co-working offices, meeting rooms, library, art gallery, and large garden grounds. The events programme includes talks, dinners, debates, coaching, cultural activities, and social events.

Renovated as a major national event between 2004 and 2006, the Atomium - which was not intended to survive Expo 58 for which it was the flagship construction - is today, with over 600,000 visitors per year, the most popular tourist attraction in the capital of Europe, an art centre and an international symbol of Brussels and Belgium.
‘Expo 58 was organized as an expression of the democratic will to keep peace between all nations, of belief in both technical and scientific progress and, finally, of an optimistic vision of the future of a new, modern world that should enable people to live better.
As the Atomium today continues to support those believes in progress and humanity. We saw a link with these themes in ‘Notes from Brussels’ and an opportunity to furhther our beliefs through supporting this film
