Today I received a call regarding a possible new charter operator for the Weymouth area who in call stated he was ordering some new RIBs and they were not ready yet and needed to charter a rib for 2-3 months of a member so he could run the new business in Weymouth. The chap gave his name as Nick.
Luckily our member was well switched on and not happy with the story being told and declined to offer such a long term charter.
We have been in contact with a member in the area outlined for "Nick's" new business and immediately we were updated on the male known as Nick Legge - I have seen numerous reports now that show this guy is a scammer and not what he makes out to be. Appears that other marine companies have been scammed out of money.
Also seems he will NOT limit his approaches in just one area, so anywhere could have contact.
This is a short report to warn all of this scammer and be careful on any dealings. In fact we suggest stay well away from him. If anyone needs more info I have saved the other info.
