Construction Updates
Carmel Drive - Contractors began work on May 5 on Carmel Drive, west of Range Line Road and will be working in the right-of-way for approximately three weeks. There will be no closures but lanes will be restricted.

111th Street and Westfield Boulevard - Beginning on or after May 10, the City will begin constructing its 139th roundabout at the intersection of 111th Street and Westfield Boulevard. This will result in an estimated 45-day full closure of the intersection. There will also be an estimated 35-day closure of Westfield Boulevard north of that intersection for the replacement of the culvert under Westfield Boulevard. This work will take place throughout most of the summer with access for local traffic only between 106th Street and 116th Street on Westfield Boulevard.

Please visit Carmel Link 2.0 for a complete list of projects and updates. An updated construction schedule is pictured below

May is Mental Health Awareness Month
Wearing green ribbons to support Mental Health Awareness
The COVID-19 pandemic has had a profound impact on the mental health of people of all ages. Now, more than ever, it is critical to reduce the stigma around mental health struggles, because that stigma often prevents individuals from seeking help.

The City of Carmel joins these efforts by recognizing May as Mental Health Awareness Month and spreading the word that improving mental health is something everyone in our community should support. At the May 3 City Council meeting, Mayor Jim Brainard read the official proclamation designating May as Mental Health Awareness Month.
