When returning to England from a 'Green' destination, you will need to complete a Passenger Locator Form and take a test within 72 hours of travel (certain Lateral flows are accepted) and then a PCR test within 2 days of your arrival back in to the UK.
Green Bushbaby Destinations: Some of the 12 countries on the inaugural Green list are harder to access then Narnia! When these are removed (as well as those where we must quarantine on arrival) we are left with 3 great Bushbaby destinations! Seeking relaxation on a golden beach? Head to the delightful Anantara Vilamoura in Portugal or visit her islands of the Azores, where you can swim with dolphins and trek to dormant volcanoes. Or are you longing for unique experiences amongst scenic wonders? We can think of no better destination than Iceland and a stay at the Ion Adventure Hotel, at the point where two tectonic plates meet! Needing a cultural boost after being at home so long? Why not consider booking a suite overlooking the Old City in Jerusalem at the David Citadel before heading to the beach in Tel Aviv or Eilat, as Israel's successful vaccine roll out turns it Green.
Please note that only fully vaccinated visitors are welcome quarantine free in Iceland and Israel, and the latter is only allowing tour groups in the first instance, but we do expect to see these rules relaxed during the Summer.

In addition to the tests required for 'Green', 'Amber' destinations will require a second test on Day 8 as part of a 10 day Home quarantine. However, you have the opportunity to leave quarantine early if you return an additional negative test on Day 5, as part of the 'Test to Release' scheme. As more people are vaccinated, it is hoped that those fully protected in this manner will be able to avoid quarantine in the future.
Amber Bushbaby Destinations: Many European countries such as Greece, Cyprus and the Balearic islands as predicted have started off on Amber but we believe these should move to Green by late June as infection rates fall and vaccination programmes speed up. Further afield, we were surprised to not see the Caribbean islands such as Antigua included in the Green List from the get-go, so we think there is a good chance these will go Green, perhaps at the same time as the USA (there is talk of a reciprocal travel agreement being announced around the time of the Cornwall G7 in early June) opening up the possibility of tropical beach or fly drive holiday. However, if you are looking for something truly unforgettable and original for 2021, we have our eye on Jungle and Reef adventure in Belize. The FCDO have removed their advisory against all but essential travel here, as they have also done for Sri Lanka.
