We look forward to seeing you this Sunday! We have an 8:40am and 10am Gathering in the Life Center as well as a mask-required in the Chapel at 8:40am.

We continue the series of Change My Mind as we learn about transformational thinking according to God’s Word.

FIVE WAYS TO GIVE
In response to God's generosity, and as a way to support many platforms of ministry and missions at Highland, we provide five ways to give: 1) Text giving at 254-220-4845  2) Give at the kiosks set up in the Lobby 3) Baskets and drop-boxes on Sundays 4) Set up recurring giving so your giving is planned and purposeful by clicking the button 5) Give through the HBC Waco app.

WELLNESS CENTER UPDATE
As we continue to move forward with the physical building, we also continue to move ahead with our current ministries. We still need to raise $236,089 to finish out the project. If the Lord puts it on your heart to give this week, would you consider doing so? We cannot wait to open the doors of this new building for ministry all around our neighborhood! NEW MEMBER CLASS | MAY 23
 
If you are interested in knowing more about Highland and what it means to be a covenant member, we would love to see you on Sunday, May 23. There is a meal, a time to hear about the direction and beliefs of Highland, and staff will be present. Register for New Member Class HERE
RE:GROUP
 
Beginning June 6, there will be a combined ABF called Re:GROUP that will meet on Sunday mornings at 10am in the Chapel. Join us as we study the books of 1st and 2nd Thessalonians. Re:Group will meet from June 6-July 25. Each participant will receive an ESV Scripture journal.
BLUEGRASS AND BLUEBELL JULY 4th CELEBRATION
 
Save the date for Sunday, July 4, from 6:30-8:30pm, for live music, hayrides, bounce houses, ice cream, and a firetruck tour for children! 
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL UPDATE

VBS Mystery Island for all Kindergarten-5th Grade students is June 14-18, 9:30am-12:15pm. Register HERE

Join the VBS Team! It takes over 70 volunteers for VBS to run. For more information or to sign up to be a volunteer, go HERE
 
STUDENT UPDATES
 
We will continue to meet on Sunday in our grade specific classes for Student Connection at 10am. This Wednesday, May 19, we will meet in Home Groups. You can find your home group location and other upcoming information HERE

Youth week is right around the corner! We have fun events scheduled May 30- June 4! Don't miss out!
YOUNG ADULT LAST TUESDAY WORSHIP NIGHT

Tuesday, May 25, at 7pm, the Young Adults will gather together in the Chapel for Last Tuesday Worship Night. We will pray and seek the Lord together.
 
NAOMI FELLOWSHIP
 
The Naomi Fellowship (for widows and widowers) will meet on Tuesday, May 18, at 6pm, in the Fellowship Hall for dinner and entertainment. Reserve your place by calling Maudie at (254) 776-4171. For more information, contact Janet-Ross@hbcwaco.org
 
PRETEEN CAMP

"Lost and Found" Preteen camp will be June 28-July 2, at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Camp, for completed 3rd-5th Graders. The cost is $225 per child. Register HERE
LITTLE YEARS

PINE COVE CITY CAMP

Pine Cove City is coming to Highland July 26-30. We are looking for homes that would be willing to host counselors. If you are interested in being a host home or would like more information please contact Joanie-Swingler@hbcwaco.org 
CHURCH T-SHIRT COLLECTION

Bring any church specific shirts, adult sizes S-XL, to a clearly marked box in the Life Center Lobby through May 30. These will be given to West Brownsville Baptist, one of our partner churches, as a way to minister to people crossing the border from Mexico. Contact Jamie-Hipp@hbcwaco.org with any questions.  
HOOPS FOR HOPE SUMMER CAMPS

HFH is hosting a basketball and volleyball camp June 14-17, from 1-4pm, in the Life Center for Waco youth who have completed 3rd-11th Grade. Register HERE.

We are also looking for coaches and assistants. Training will be held on Sunday, June 13, from 11:45am-2pm in the Life Center and LC-1. Email Hoopsforhopeinternational@gmail.com for more info.
NORTH AFRICA SHORT-TERM TRIP APPLICATION 

We have established an ongoing opportunity to minister to hundreds of unreached people groups in Northern Africa in an unspecified country (name not included due to security). 

Trip dates: Sept. 14-22, 2021
Trips cost: $2000
Application deadline: Sunday, June 20

GO GLOBAL
 
We will meet at Highland each Wednesday evening this summer (June 2-July 14) for Go Global mission nights to hear exciting reports of what the Lord is doing at Highland and among the nations. The Chumbley Family, from the Czech Republic, will join us to share a report on Wednesday, June 2. Register HERE for dinner which will begin at 5:30pm in the Chapel. Report time will be 6-7:15pm. 
CHURCH MATCHING SCHOLARSHIPS

There is a church matching scholarship program for Highland high school students who will be attending Christian colleges with church matching programs. If you have an interest in blessing college students through giving, gifts to “Church Matching Scholarship” are accepted through June 15. Applications for scholarships will also be received through June 15.  For an application or more info, contact Ken-Kilheffer@hbcwaco.org
