Free support for residents to use health services online
Superhighways is offering practical one-to-one training sessions in basic skills needed to search for and book health services online. The training is free, delivered by experienced IT trainers, with a local knowledge of health and wellbeing services/ activities in Kingston.

For the next 3 months Superhighways is offering a variety of digital inclusion training just for Kingston groups to help you reach your audience. This training is designed to upskill our local charity staff and volunteers to improve digital know-how here in Kingston.

Resources to support residents

Want to support clients to get online? 
Superhighways is running one to one sessions with residents across Kingston to improve their digital skills. The training will help residents you use online health services and search for information to improve their wellbeing. The trainer will use simple language and give clear step by step instructions over the phone until residents are online. To refer clients to this service visit Digital Health Hubs on Connected Kingston.

The Active Breathing Course (ABC) is a free six-week course devised specifically to help people recover from the impact of Covid and other respiratory illnesses using breathing and singing exercises. It is both fun and creative, and has the full backing of GPs, and Kingston & Richmond Councils.

Health messaging for residents
Training for you

Keep up with the COVID-19 hotspots every Monday at 1.30pm: The council will be holding weekly short updates on the Covid-19 situation in Kingston and provide an opportunity for you to feedback local messaging. Sign up to attend any of the briefings register here.

Bite Size Health Sessions: Tackling Obesity: This is part of a series of 30 minute events that will give you an overview of a topic so that you can better support Kingston residents. This training will enable frontline staff in the public, private and charity sector to support and empower their service users, clients and customers. May 20. Book here 

Connected Kingston Champion training: This training is essential for frontline staff and volunteers and will enable them to signpost clients to services that can support their wellbeing. It will also enable them to have conversations that can support people's health. Book your place for our  training here11 May.
